This is a decent book with lots of information with pictures. However,this book was published in 2010 and had no information on LED lights. It didn't have much information on hydroponic system either. Out of 538 pages, the book uses only 38 pages to cover basic hydroponic systems. Although some of the information can still be useful even for hydroponic growers, it felt as though this book was mainly for soil growers. I would skip this book if you are planning on LED or hydroponic system grow.

Easily the best book I've ever read on the topic. I see a lot of negative reviews and have come to the conclusion that it must depend on what you're looking for. If you're looking for "easy", this isn't it. It provides a true understanding of the botany and chemistry, as well as detailed instructions on every aspect of growing.

I was understanding that there would also be recipes in this book. But overall it's great..lots of information..great pictures and will really educate you.

I got either the first or second edition from a friend of mine while I was recovering from a car accident. I got my card and grew two outdoor plants. They were pretty decent (Northern Lights clones I think) since I just made sure they were taken care of and didn't have pests. But other then that didn't do any advanced techniques. I remembered this book recently and wanted to re-educate myself. This 3rd edition popped up and I decided to upgrade.....one hell of an up grade! The one I had, I remember it being medium thickness...I got this thing and was blown away! Flipped through it and found it lives up to the name of bible. Quick start? Got it. Indoor? Got it. History? Got it. From A-Z on how to grow, and get the best results.

Lots of information, but a lot is outdated. A ton of very technical info. Doesn't even touch on LED lights, it's well overdue for an update. It did help though

This book is organized with all the details your expecting it to provide. We loved the "how to" pages with illustrations. This book should be all you need for beginners who want to learn more. We absolutely recommend reading!

A lot of work went into producing this book. Unfortunately, it is packed with tons of useless outdated info. Latest edition has no mention of CMH lights and their performance. Most of the advanced grow methods are obsolete, ie, SOG planting. Lots of random bud pictures but not many helpful, ie, few picts showing pests and deficiencies. Lots of plant history and jargon but nothing on grow strategies for favor and weight. Looks nice on the bookshelf where it will stay.

If the state ever approves this, at least I am more knowledgeable then ever. While I running out of time, I'm prepared. Politics ….hmmm!

works better now that i know how to focus on the amount i need, Nitika will some time split funds it sends if the whole amount cant be obtained from one source. ex: i asked for $ 2,500. the first amount i received was $1,700. At that point i only really needed 850 more, so i redirected my focus on the 850, instead of continuing to ask for the amount of 2500. a few days later, right before the deadline 1000 rolled in.So the lesson here is, its coming. Even if its a close call. Sometimes the whole amount cant be dumped off all at once. focus on the actual amount u need minus what u already got. hope this helps.cheers

Was so poor that even the $4.95 was a burden (to buy the book), and putting together a Cashbook was not option, so I improvised & I Believed. And you know what? It worked! In a little over 2 weeks I had the $500., I needed for my rent and all because of Nitika & Damon Brand---Thank You Both, and just like George Jefferson " I'm moving on up", & you will too, if u buy this book. CHEERS

Holy smokes...It worked!! I needed a large amount fast and I was a bit nervous because, Damon advises to start with a much smaller amount to attain confidence with its success. I didn't have the time, so I just went for it. I finished the 11 days and let it go. It was about a week later that I received a call with an unexpected offer that I couldn't refuse, this provided 3/4 of what I asked for. The next day I landed a project that covered the remainder +500 extra!!! Now this is magic!

I am happy for the other reviewers if they are real & telling the truth. In my case, I may be naïve but I put great sincerity and belief into the philosophy of Angel Magick and purchased several books from GOM, including the Magickal Cashbook. I even went to the forum and read the topics about abundance of magick, lust for results, etc. and followed the recommendations. I have used the Cashbook 3 times several weeks apart with no results. My annual salary is $85,000 so my 1st attempt with Nitika was for $2500 which is not a large amount of money to me. After that 11 day ritual I waited 2 weeks without thinking about the ritual or the money and had no results. I did the 11 day ritual again for $1000. That ritual ended 3 weeks ago. My only windfall was $3 on a lottery ticket someone gave me. My 3rd attempt for a very small sum has yielded no results yet. I have done various other workings such as looking for extra energy, improving musical skills, and a few others with the GOM books the Greater Words of Power, Angels of Alchemy, and the 72 Angels with no results. I have just purchased Adam Blackthorne's GOM books of Sigils of Power and Chaos Magick to see if I can find something that works for me but haven't worked with them yet. I have done all the previous workings with sincerity in a private room with no disturbances and approached these workings with absolute belief. I wish there was a source to discuss my frustrations with since I am beginning to feel stupid for believing in this and spending a lot of money on GOM books. I feel that I got some value in doing the workings since it puts you in a positive frame of mind and that is always good for making changes within yourself or attacking new projects but I didn't get enough value for spending 100's of dollars to purchase nearly the whole GOM library.

The first working I did, I asked for $1,000. Only a few days after finishing the 11 day ritual, we received notice of a relatives estate settlement from the fall of last year. We got a check in the mail for $7k! Completely unexpected because we didn't expect to get more than a few hundred dollars, maybe $1k at best. Craziest results and timing I've gotten from any working, and I've been practicing magic for 6 years.

Wow, wow, wow! I am awe. This book is now officially one of my favorites. It has really surprised me (in a GREAT way)... When I first brought the book back in 2017, I tried it a few times (some amounts I asked for were quite a few digits, and others were smaller), I did not see any results, so I put it away for a year, and went back to it recently, last week, when I was in a VERY serious bind. I had a bill of $600 that HAD to be paid before May 31st, 2018. I told myself to give my Magickal Cashbook another shot. Now although I was a little nervous, my gut feeling was that something was different this time around - I could feel it (The book felt energized (I don't know how else to describe it)). So I started the ritual, and TODAY, on the SEVENTH DAY, of the eleven day ritual (May 11th, 2018), I received an $800 check in the mail, from a company that owed me this money since "January 2017" - 14 months ago (And had told me on multiple occasions, since that time, that they were not going to pay me "one cent" of the money owed to me). The shock and EXTREME joy I felt when I opened my mail today, and seen that check, from this company, has left my eyes watery - This is a moment of happiness that I REALLY needed... Bottom line is "this Magic works." WORD OF CAUTION, don't go into the ritual with a fearful mindset, go in with a relaxed mindset "expecting" that the magic will do as it says it will (this will help out your outcome BIGTIME). There are so many beautiful paintings that I would probably never have seen if not for this book. Art books usually focus on the Big Few. The illustrations are mostly large, but even the smaller ones are very high quality.

The art is absolutely wonderful, but be very careful about the accompanying essays, which are full of problems. In no way is Picasso's "Demoiselles d'Avignon" a "Cubist" painting, nor is an American modern painting of very clearly depicted forms against a sort of swirly background. Building roads as people moved westward (white people, mainly) is presented as willful destruction of the natural environment. Artists of the early 20th century did not look at African or Oceanic art just for its "simplicity". The final essay, on the "queer" aspects of this rural modernism, manages to include Georgia O'Keeffe, who herself was not "queer" or lesbian. In this case, the author seems to believe that although she preferred men, since her private life was unusual and some of her paintings as well, she was therefore "queer". Most of these texts have particular pre-set interpretations which they're trying to push, and the result is that the actual art is overshadowed by the theoreticians' social and political mindset. Again, the art is wonderful, so you can revel is looking at it and studying it in a great variety of ways. But treat the essays very carefully, and at some distance.

 This Art Catalougue goes in conjuction with the High Museum of Art show Cross Country that explores Rural Modern that runs through May 2017. The collection has over 200 pieces, 70 of which are from the high Museum permanent collection. This beautiful book has informative essays and graphic color photographs. A good book for any worthy library.

Wow hats off to Brandywine River Museum of Art, High Museum of Art, Skira Rizzoli and all the people who assembled this most excellent book on American art for us unfortunate art lovers on west coast who are unable to attend this world class exhibition. This period of American art is most fascinating and continues to grow on me over the years. Such beautiful art after WWI and before and during great depression. I wish all art books were as good as this one - excellent reproductions on just-the-right-weight paper.

From beginning to end this book is like a magical roller coaster - you can barely catch a breath before the next loop gets you and you're diving then swooping (these words are so appropriate to this book) through a new discovery or development.I am utterly in awe of not only the incredibly detailed stories (with plot within plot within plot within plot) that Lucia creates but also how marvelously they are written – you feel the angst, the confusion, the sadness, the fears and you run the full gamut of emotion with the characters – except for those whose motives must remain hidden until the final reveal. And her execution is just so blooming poetic! I am quite convinced that Lucia Ashta possesses a deep magic herself.The depiction of the different parts of the world that Selene finds herself in, the description of every situation and every character is so clear and so incredibly detailed that it's quite easy to feel like a bit of a voyeur as you travel through the pages.I enjoyed Selene so much and her very real reactions to the situations she finds herself in and the special people she meets. I love that she’s not seemingly exceptionally brave (at least not as a naturally inherent quality) but that she does have moments of exceptional bravery stemming from a real quality of genuinely caring for others. I also think there’s more fire inside her than even she realizes. I so look forward to getting to know her better.I loved most of the characters in this book – the exception being quite specifically a dodgy, selfish creature who might, or might not, end up surprising me. But I doubt it because the level of… distaste… I have for her feels quite limitless at this point. But I will enjoy being proven right. Life has just gotten very interesting door this young lady who, until this day, believes she was powerless.What an interesting world she has found herself in. Let the wild games begin!!

I have read many of this author's books and I love how they intertwine. The characters are just fascinating. Magic, danger, surprise, wonder, wars, loyalty, romance.. power ...it's all in her books. And I just finished Sirangel and I just may like this one best so far (and that's saying something since they are all amazing!)! This wonderful half siren, half angel is trying to find her place in the world, and there are terrible supernatural creatures after her, ready to steal the power she doesn't even know she has yet. But she has magical fairies and others on her side. You really need to get this book. In fact, get ALL Lucia Ashta's books, they are all so much fun with their magic, intrigue and great characters. You never know what's going to happen next. So you keep reading.... Love it!

OMG! Talk about totally rocking this new series from the start. Lucia once again leaves me in awe. Such depth and individuality. Strong characters, amazing storyline with an outstanding plot keeps you immersed till the end. Twists and turns, ups and downs, along with a few glitches and scrapes really bring this bad boy roaring to life flawlessly. The characters and scenes are written with such realism it's easy to get drawn into this incredibe work of art. Remarkable job Lucia, thanks for sharing this bad boy with us.I am voluntarily posting an honest review after reading an Advanced Reader Copy of this story.

Wow a Fantastic read. If your a lover of Fantasy and Shape Shifters and other Supernatural Creatures. You will love this read, Shes a Sirangel that when hitting a place thats not her home, she is in danger of others wanting to take what she has. She meets Quinn can he help her in her fight to stay out of the grasp of those wanting her, to take her powers. This is the first book in the series and the Author has really blown this read out of the park. This is definitely a home run. A Must Read.Shauna Joesten

Imagine waking up a siren and before the day is out, you have wings and are out of your element. This is what happens to Selene on one of the most important days of her life. Discovering you are a hybrid and everyone wants you for themselves is even more scary. I can't wait to read the next in the series.

As always, I really enjoyed this book by Lucia Ashta. She's great at character development...so much so that your sad to get to the end of a character's storyline. The only reasons I gave this a 4 star reviewI was 1) even though this is a stand alone story, you can tell that you've missed a lot of the characters story because you didn't read the series previous to this one. I'll definitely be going back to read the Magical Creatures Academy to get caught up.... 2) I would have liked to see more of a conclusion to parts of story. I know it's the beginning of a series, but this one just didn't feel as complete as some of her other works. That said, I'm looking forward to the next book in the series!

The book begins slow and never seems to pick up any momentum. I found the heroine was a secondary character in her own story. The hero never IMHO redeemed himself, even when he finally declares his love of the heroine when in reality it was more a case of he couldn't bear his fiancee and he wanted to be a father; which could have been more of the story and conflict. Why the heroine would accept him beyond her lust for him wasn't really very well developed, she deserved a better hero than Vincent.The real draw back to the story was the antagonist, Leticia. She was cruel, mean and at best a cardboard character. Possibly she had more history in Devon's story but each book should stand alone. I have found I usually enjoy this author but will look forward to the next brothers' stories with caution. Lets just hope it was just an off book. Ms Maclean is too good a storyteller to let one bad book ruin the series.

Well-written, flowing, I could not put it down. I liked the plot. One of my top romance favorites and I have read hundreds of them over the last 30 years many I had forgotten or never finished. It is not easy to find a well-written romance with a worthy plot. Most have either an interesting plot but the writing is flat, boring, repetitive, confusing and not fully exploiting the story ( adding fillers that have nothing to do with the relationship between heroine and hero ) or vice versa, good writing but an uninteresting plot. This book had it all. I loved the hero at the end.

I don't understand the negative comments about the second book. If you liked the first one, you will love the second one. I couldn't put it down except to go to work. I would have read it straight through if I'd had the time. Buy it.

The second book in the Pembroke Palace series grabbed me from the start. The use of excerpts from Cassandra's diary to enhance the story of Cassandra and Vincent works very well. And the stories of the other family members swirl around in the background. By the end of the book I was intrigued and looking forward to the story in the 3rd book. My emotions were engaged in The Mistress Diaries which puts it right at the top of my ratings!

I think that anyone who enjoys reading about a time long ago when woman's rights where not her own will enjoy this book. Making the decision to be happy instead of what society deems proper. Love wins in the end. This books was a quick, easy read.

I chose the five stars because of the sensive. Nature of the book. It was delicately handled. Very. Good characters. Very good explanations. Agood twist. At the end.

I loved how Victors struggle was highlighted and showed his growth and change of heart. Makes you think all is possible no matter how dire the circumstance or how great the rogue! ;)
