I love these DK biographies. They are perfect for middle-years readers. They're well written, concise but not too short, well illustrated, and they pepper the text with selected vocab words that appear repeatedly so as to help readers learn their meaning. It's clearly made by people who know what they're doing.

Great Easy to read Bio of a great lady and her adding to the chemistry chart! My grandson is reading it too :)

These books are great for my third graders! They use these for their big biography projects and they offer tons of great info!

The DK series is great b/c it offers a much deeper perspective than the "Who was..." series, yet not the length of an adult biography which would discourage kids between 10-13.

Excellent book. Purchased this book when my fifth grader was doing a project on Marie Curie. The school library had few research books. This book provided all the material she needed.

My daughter had to do a report on Marie Curie and this book as invaluable. It's by far the best book about Marie Curie I've seen.
